My Famous French Toast

French toast is another recipe that I have experimented with over the years. In high school my friends and I would go to this little dinner and that’s where I first had French toast on Texas Toast. Texas toast is perfect because it’s nice and thick and doesn’t fall apart after being in the batter. Our grocery store  sells both Texas toast and French toast bread. The French toast bread is also thick but it has an odd artificial sweetener taste that I didn’t care for.

Kristi’s French Toast

4 Eggs

1 tablespoon of Vanilla Extract

Dash of Cinnamon

1/4 cup of water

1/4 cup of milk

Texas Toast Bread

Butter

Mix egg, vanilla, cinnamon, water, and milk in a small bowl. Mix until well blended.

In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Dip individual bread sliced into batter and place on skillet until it is browned on both sides (approximately 2 minutes each side). Garnish with confectioners sugar and strawberries.

Enjoy!
