Dahlia Gardening

Posted July 21st, 2008 by nkristis

I made the mistake last year of planting a few Dahlia plants in the full sun as the label instructed. They didn’t last very long in the intense heat of Sacramento. This year I transplanted them in the shady area by the side of the house and they are growing like crazy. The are taller, more lush, and have more flowers than last year.

Red: I grew these from seed. I like being surprised by the colors.

Yellow: I have a few of these from last year.

White: Another nice surprise
